Mercier Bridge weekend closures

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform motorists that the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated and the Minist�re des Transports du Qu�bec will implement several closures over the weekend from Friday, October 5th at 8pm until Monday, October 8th at 5am.

The following schedule will be in place:

Saturday at 8pm until Sunday at 12pm
�    Complete closure of Kahnaw�:ke bound span
�    Complete Closure of the 132 ramp to La Prairie
�    One lane will be available for each direction on Montreal bound span
�    One lane closed on the 138 down ramp towards Chateauguay
�    Closure of the Airlie onramp to the Mercier Bridge

Sunday at 12pm until Monday at 5am
�    One lane closed on Kahnaw�:ke bound span

Traffic towards La Prairie will be detoured onto the Route 207 circle.

These closures are required to carry out work on the Jersey barriers and anchors in anticipation of the roadway replacement planned for 2013.

Motorists are urged to use the Champlain Bridge during this time.
