Mercier Bridge lane reductions for Labour Day weekend

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake (MCK) has been informed by the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated and Minist�re des Transports du Qu�bec that the Mercier Bridge will be reduced to one lane in both directions from Friday, August 29th at 10pm until Monday, September 1st at 12 noon.

In addition, the Route 132 up-ramp from La Prairie (towards Montreal) and the Airlie on-ramp (towards Kahnaw�:ke) will be closed during the work.

The closure is required to carry out reinforcement work on the steel structure to be  prepared for rehabilitation of the conrcrete deck in 2015.

The MCK reminds the public that works/closures on the Mercier Bridge are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
