Housing Review On-going

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to inform the Community that it is in the process of undergoing an operational and financial assessment of the MCK Housing Department. The MCK had been made aware of accounting discrepancies regarding payments made at the MCK Housing Department, which required immediate action. These discrepancies are under review on a case-by-case basis.

The operational and financial assessment will take approximately one month, including a reconciliation of any accounts where a discrepancy is found. The results will be communicated to the individual clients. We would ask that all clients continue to make their regular housing payments to the cashier at the MCK Main building only. 
 
We also want to reiterate that every effort is being made to rectify the situation and that, at this time, no one is being evicted.

Please be aware that MCK cannot comment further on the issue at this time but the results will be communicated to the public upon completion of the assessment.
