Mercier Bridge Lane Closures January 9 to 11

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform the public that both the Montreal-bound and Kahnaw�:ke-bound left lanes of the Mercier Bridge will be closed to traffic from 11:59pm on Friday, January 9th, until 11:59pm on Saturday, January 10th. The Montreal-bound right lane will be closed on Sunday, January 11th from 3am until 6pm.

The current work is part of the Mercier Bridge project and will be to repair the steel structural columns spanning the Seaway. All motorists are urged to exercise caution around the work and to respect the signage installed on the bridge.

Please note that the work on the connection plates conducted during winter 2008 was completed on the federal portion of the Mercier Bridge as planned and limited the number of closures to motorists.
