Mercier Bridge weekend closures - Montreal-bound traffic only

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform road users that the Minist�re des Transports du Qu�bec (MTQ) will completely close both Kahnaw�:ke-bound lanes of the Mercier Bridge on Friday, March 1st at 10pm until Monday, March 4th at 5am for repair work below the deck. During this period, traffic will be in the Montreal-bound direction ONLY.

This one way configuration will ensure road users safety in case of bad weather and will facilitate snow removal and de-icing operations that may be required. These operations cannot be properly performed with two way traffic because the width of the lanes is not adequate for snow removal vehicles.

The MTQ is aware of the impacts caused to traffic and appreciates the consideration of road users for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The MCK wishes to remind the public that works/closures on the Mercier Bridge are subject to change due to unfavorable weather conditions and it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
