REMINDER Multi-Dwelling Area Water and Sewer Line Replacement

The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to remind the community of the ongoing project to replace the water and sanitary sewer lines in the Multi-Dwelling area and Route 207. The work in the immediate area of the Multi-Dwellings has since been completed and the remainder on Route 207 will now continue until the end of November 2022.

This project includes replacing the existing water and sanitary sewer lines. Upon completion of the previously mentioned works, the road will be resurfaced with new asphalt.

Shown below is a map of the general area for the entire work. The work area on Route 207 is between the corner of Rice Road (near the Multi-Dwellings) and the area adjacent to Wolf�s Den.

Residents in the area may be inconvenienced with temporary loss of water, dust and noise from trucks and equipment, detours, and temporary road closures. Proper road signalization will be installed to warn of the construction limits. The community will also be notified when a road closure is scheduled.

All private properties that are affected by the work in this area (e.g., driveways, walkways, hedges, and fences) will be repaired or replaced prior to the completion of the project.
