The Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) will be holding a kiosk on Friday, January 26, from 10 am until 3 pm at the Kahnawà:ke Services Complex to provide information about climate change and shoreline erosion, along with updates on their Shoreline Vulnerability Assessment (SVA) project.

While visiting the Kiosk to learn about the project, community members are invited to complete a short survey. The information gathered will be used for future actions related to climate change, and by the consultants for the SVA project final report and recommendation.

Everyone who completes a survey will have a chance to win one of several small prizes (while supplies last).

KEPO is undertaking the SVA along natural shorelines in Kahnawà:ke to assess the rate and causes of erosion to develop recommendations for protective measures to reduce problematic erosion. The impact of climate change will also be assessed through this work.

For more information on this project or other environmentally related issues, please contact KEPO at 450-635-0600 or email environment.protection@mck.ca.
