2018 MCK Elections - Nomination Day this Saturday

The Electoral Officer for the 2018 Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke Elections wishes to remind Kahnawa’kehró:non that Saturday, May 26th is Nomination Day. Nominations will be collected by the Electoral Officer at the Kahnawà:ke Services Complex Lobby from 10am to 12 noon.

Anyone interested in running for Grand Chief or Council Chief will require one nominator and one seconder, both of whom must be at least 18 years of age, and meet the requirements of the Kahnawà:ke Election Law.

The Electoral Officer would also like to remind the community of the importance of having the required documents and signers to expedite the nomination process during the nomination period. Nominees should also expect to have a photo taken.
