The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Co. has been granted permission to relocate an eroding utility pole on Tekakwitha Island.
Work crews will be on the Territory beginning today and throughout the week until July 20th on the northwestern tip of the Island, just past the Marina. Some minor trimming of trees will be required, but no trees will be taken down.
