The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) shares in the community’s relief after being informed that the two Kahnawa’kehró:non who were declared ‘missing’ have been located and are safe and unharmed.

Additionally, the MCK would like to thank the many community members who shared the ‘missing’ posters and information on various platforms throughout Canada and the United States to assist in locating the two persons.

“First and foremost, we are pleased that they have been found,” said Grand Chief Joseph Tokwiro Norton. “It has been a difficult time for the whole town but, especially, for the families and friends of the two people. The community spread the word far and wide, and that gesture was very much appreciated by all concerned.”
