Important Notice – additional meeting set for draft Kahnawake Residency Law - View PDF

The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) would like to inform the community that an additional meeting has been scheduled for the draft Kahnawà:ke Residency Law.

The decision was made after the Technical Drafting Committee discovered that changes to the definition of Onkwehón:we Ancestry accepted at the April 4, 2019 meeting were problematic and must be readdressed. This will be explained in detail, with a new proposal for the Definition to be brought forth at the meeting.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Golden Age Club. The meeting begins at 6pm sharp and concludes at 8:30pm.
