The Kahnawà:ke COVID-19 Task Force wishes to inform the community that the Task Force has not made any decisions regarding Halloween

The Task Force has no intention of cancelling the annual event at the current time. People should feel free to decorate their homes as usual.

Exactly how the dispensing or collecting of candy will be handled this year is yet to be determined. Any plans, procedures or directives will be announced at the appropriate time in the month of October.

“The bottom line is that safety is paramount,” said the Task Force’s Arnold Lazare. “We trust people will continue in a safe and healthy manner during the ongoing pandemic. Niá:wen for your continued vigilance in protecting our community.”

The Task Force will continue to monitor the situation and keep the community informed.
