REMINDER - Victims Rights and Remedies Community Information Session this Tuesday

The Justice Services Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke reminds community members, frontline workers, and staff of Kahnawà:ke organizations about the upcoming Victims of Crime Workshop, hosted by Ionkwatahónhsate Victims Services. The session, titled "Victims’ Rights & Remedies," will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 10am to 11am via Microsoft Teams.

Presented by Rita Lamolinara and Shreya Virani from the Canadian Resource Centre for Victims of Crime (CRCVC), this workshop is made possible through funding from Kahnawake Shakotiia′takehnhas Community Services.

Topics to be covered include:

• Understanding victim rights in Canada
• Highlighting services offered by CRCVC
• Strategies for empowering victims of crime
• Addressing systemic challenges to justice
