The Asbestos Working Group (AWG) has been working diligently over the past two years on the Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) issue in Kahnawake. We like to thank the community for all their patience with this issue. We are aware that the pace of the file is not moving as quickly as one would hope. Please understand this file has been very complicated with numerous factors to be considered. The ultimate goal of the AWG is to develop a global strategy, that Council and Chief will accept and MCK can implement. We hope to achieve this goal by end of this year and move into implementation.
