Justice Development Technician, Justice Services

Description: Under the direct supervision of the Commissioner of Justice, coordinates and executes projects related to implementing the Kahnawà:ke Justice Act. Assists with non-legal developmental work, including researching and drafting guidelines, policy, and procedures required for administering the Kahnawà:ke Justice System and the operations of the Kahnawà:ke Justice Commission Also participates at meetings of the Kahnawà:ke Justice Commission as a technical resource person.

Duration: Two (2) year Fixed-Term Position, Full-Time, Six (6) Month Probation Period

Salary: $1,066.50 Per Week (37.5 hours)

Investigator, Kahnawà:ke Mohawk Peacekeepers

Description: Under the direction of the Assistant Chief, plans, manages and controls criminal investigations in the Territory of Kahnawá:ke working closely with internal and external Court systems in all aspects of investigations.

Duration: Indeterminate Position, Full-Time - Twelve (12) Month Probation Period

Salary: $2,207.45 Per Week (Shift Work) - 40 Hours per week

Special Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and/or equivalent, plus Two (2) years relevant experience, Full-fledged police officer from a recognized Police Academy OR Full- fledged police officer from recognized police Academy, (3) years relevant investigation and law enforcement officer experience OR Full-fledged Police officer from a recognized Police Academy and five (5) years field experience.

Must take a psychological evaluation.
