MTQ testing culverts on Route 207

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform the community that a firm contracted by the Minist�re de Transport du Quebec (MTQ) is conducting testing around two culverts on Route 207 today (June 28th) and tomorrow (June 29th) in order to draw up plans for the replacement of the two culverts, which will take place at the end of summer or early fall.

One lane of the roadway will be closed in the area where the testing will occur. Proper signage will be installed to minimize the impact on traffic. No testing is planned on private properties. Please note that the work may be postponed due to rain.

The Kahnaw�:ke Environment Protection Office is aware of the testing and had a technician on site during an environmental inspection performed by the MTQ. For further information, contact the Lands Unit at (450) 638-8244.
