Wolf’s Den Road Rehabilitation
07/23/2010
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to inform all Kahnawa’kehró:non that the next section of the rehabilitation project in the Wolf’s Den Area from the 207 down ramp to the Cemetery road intersection will start on Monday, July 26th, 2010 and will continue until the end of October 2010. Weather permitting. This project will include installation of a new surface drainage system and the road will be resurfaced with new asphalt. Residents in the area may be inconvenienced with dust and noise from trucks and equipment, detours and temporary road closures. Proper road signalization will be installed to warn of the construction limits. During construction alignment-pins will be installed (steel rods marked with orange ribbon) along the roadway. These pins do not indicate the edge of the new road. The new road edge is five feet from the pin, away from the property line. This means that during construction the roadway will appear wider than actually planned. At no point does the road infringe onto private property. All private properties that are affected by the work in this area (e.g. driveways, walkways, hedges and/or fences) will be repaired or replaced prior to the completion of the project. Your patience and cooperation throughout this project is greatly appreciated. Please contact the Technical Services Office at 450-635-1016 if further information or special requests are needed.
