New land transfer and subdivision form

08/23/2010

The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw:ke is pleased to introduce a new form that clients must fill out when requesting a transfer or sub-divide of land.

The form is part of a new procedure to ensure that all land requests will be addressed within a reasonable time frame. It is also a direct result of a Quality Assurance initiative to improve client services.

"The lands unit is always working progressively toward the betterment of land management and the protection of our community members," said Chief John Dee Delormier. "This form ensures the community is better serviced and that transactions are always clear and accurate for Kahnawa"kehr:non."

A brochure that clearly outlines the process is accessible online at www.kahnawake.com or at the reception desk of the Lands Unit (across from the Kahnawake Youth Center).
