‘North Creek’ petition meeting Wednesday
10/19/2010
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is reminding concerned community members that the meeting is being held tomorrow (Wednesday) evening to discuss problems/issues concerning the so-called ‘North Creek,’ which runs through the main village area. In August, the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke received a petition asking that remedial measures be taken to stop the accumulation of stagnant waters in the creek which, residents say, has created foul odors and other problems. A presentation will be made at the Community Room at the Peacekeepers Station on Wednesday, 20 Kenténha/October at 7pm, to be followed by a discussion. The various MCK departments who are responsible in these types of matters will be present to answer questions.
