Random Telephone Survey: Membership
10/21/2010
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke would like to inform the community that the Social Development Unit will be conducting a Random Telephone Survey of Kahnawakehró:non to gauge public opinion on the issue of Membership. Independent consultant Lori Jacobs has been contracted to carry out the brief survey, entitled Membership in Kahnawą:ke and the 2003 Kahnawą:ke Membership Law, beginning Monday, October 25th until Friday, November 12th. The same survey was also used at the recent series of information sessions on the History of Membership in Kahnawą:ke, which took place throughout the month of October at the Peacekeeper station. The goal of the survey is to gather as much information as possible on community sentiment leading up to the Membership Hearings scheduled to take place later this fall using the Community Decision Making Process. Community members are urged to participate if contacted. Participants will remain completely anonymous.
