11/12/2010
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated and the Ministère des Transports du Québec have announced the complete closure of Ramp 3 towards Châteauguay on Monday, November 15th from 4am until noon to make a paving correction before winter. Southbound traffic will be diverted to a single lane on Ramp 2 (towards La Prairie) which will be used by motorists driving towards both La Prairie and Châteauguay. Motorists driving towards Châteauguay should follow the detour signs. Important Note: the width of the lane in this direction will be reduced to 3.1 metres. Trucks that exceed this width must use an alternate route to the south shore. This work could be postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions. Works on Ramp 2 are progressing as planned and Phase I will be finished in two weeks. Phase II (Ramp 2 towards Montreal) will resume next spring. For more details visit: www.mercierbridge.ca.
