06/07/2011
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to remind road
users of upcoming works planned on the Mercier Bridge. Please note the
works planned to begin this morning.
• Tuesday, June 7th at
9:30am: The contractor will be concreting the expansion joints on the
Route 132 up ramp (from La Prairie). In order to complete the work a
complete closure of the up ramp is necessary from 9:30am on Tuesday until

Traffic will be detoured via Route 138 west to Route 207 and back onto Route 138 East to approach the bridge (see map below).
Flagmen will be in place at the intersection of Route 207 to ensure fluidity of the traffic.
•
June 5th - 15th: Inspection work will take place on the Montreal-bound
lanes of the Bridge between 8pm and 5am the following morning, except on
June 10th, 11th and 12th. During this period one lane will be closed in
the area where the work will be done.
Note: Works may be postponed due to weather conditions.
