MCK releases Membership Survey results
06/09/2011
The Social Development Unit (SDU) of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) is pleased to announce that the long-awaited results of the Membership survey that was conducted from October 2010 until March 2011 are now available to the Community.
The survey was prepared by the Membership Department and was carried out by three Community members, each of whom randomly called 120 Kahnawa’kehró:non via the Kahnawà:ke Directory, for a total of 360 homes. Due to the nature of the survey, many phone interviews took more time than originally anticipated.
Though a technical method of randomly selecting phone numbers by neutral parties was used, the MCK is not prepared to say how accurate the results of the survey are due to the difficulty in gathering the results and the amount of input given by those who participated, which delayed the final results. However, the results and comments are now available and can be obtained at the Reception Desk of the Social Development Unit (across from the Caisse Populaire) or online at www.kahnawake.com .
