Mercier Bridge: Lane re-opened once again!

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke has been informed by the Ministère de Transport du Quebec (MTQ) that the right lane of the Montreal-bound side of the Mercier Bridge has once again been re-opened following urgent repairs to the slab this morning. Both lanes are now flowing in the Kahnawà:ke–bound direction as per the schedule below.
The following schedule for traffic configuration has been put in place until further notice:
• 1pm - Midnight: Both lanes in the Kahnawà:ke-bound direction ONLY. • Midnight - 1am: Complete stoppage of traffic to reconfigure for direction change. • 1am – Noon: Both lanes in the Montreal-bound direction ONLY. • Noon – 1pm: Complete stoppage of traffic to reconfigure for direction change. • Weekends: From Friday midnight to Sunday midnight one lane in each direction will be available.
This schedule is expected to remain in effect until September but is subject to change as the MTQ studies traffic patterns.
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke will keep the community informed as developments occur with regard to the Mercier Bridge.
