Mercier Bridge: upcoming closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke has been informed by the Ministère des Transports du Quebec of upcoming road and lane closures that are necessary to carry out repair work on the Mercier Bridge.

The following closures are scheduled (see attached map for details):

•    Wednesday, August 31st between 8pm and 11pm.

o    Closure of the Kahnawà:ke bound lane to enlarge the opening of the by-pass that will permit a better turning curve between the two bridges for detour purposes.



Reminder: The following traffic configuration schedule is in place until further notice:
 
•    Weekdays
o    5am to 9am - two lanes to Montreal-bound.
o    9:45am to 2:15pm - one lane each direction.
o    3pm to 7pm - two lanes to Kahnawà:ke-bound.
o    7:45pm to 4:15am - one lane each direction.

•    Weekends & Holidays
o    One lane each direction

Please note, during direction changes both available lanes will be completely closed.
