Mercier bridge: ramp closures
09/02/2011
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke has been informed by the Ministčre des Transports du Quebec (MTQ) that modifications will be made to the afternoon rush hour traffic flow (Friday) in order to continue work on the Kahnawą:ke bound span of the Mercier Bridge.
Closure of the Route 138 down ramp and the complete closure of the Route 132 ramp from 2:15pm to 7:45pm - Kahnawą:ke bound traffic will be detoured onto the Route 138 up ramp. - Drivers heading towards Chateauguay will continue straight on Route 138 west and drivers heading towards La Prairie will be detoured onto Route 207 to Route 132 east.
The ramps are scheduled to be re-opened for the weekend configuration at 7:45pm. Due to the scope of the work, there may be delays which may cause the ramps to only be re-opened at 11pm. However, should the ramp closure be extended, one lane towards Montreal will be available after 7:45pm. Route 132 traffic from La Prairie will be detoured to Route 207 in order to gain access to the Route 138 up ramp. Reminder: The following traffic configuration schedule is in place until September 6th (based upon the MTQ schedule). Weekends & Holidays - One lane each direction
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke will do its best to keep road users informed as developments occur. For updates, subscribe to our Text Messaging Service for timely updates by filling out the online form.
