Preferred rate on heating oil for Kahnawa’kehró:non
09/20/2011
The Executive Directors Committee (EDC) is pleased to announce that residents of Kahnawà:ke can now take advantage of an affordable community rate that has been negotiated with the EDC’s heating oil supplier, Pepco.
Pepco will provide heating oil at the market value per litre minus 4 cents on residential consumption which will be monitored bi-annually. The EDC is pleased to pass on these savings to residents which are a direct result of the combined volume of oil purchased by the seven EDC organizations, fifteen purchasing partners and the community. Therefore, the more oil purchased the greater the discounts.
Pepco is the new official distributor for Esso products in the region, taking over the clients from former distributing agent Laberge. Existing clients need not worry about transferring, as all previous accounts will automatically be transferred to the Pepco preferred plan.
“This initiative is the positive result of creating a win-win solution for all Kahnawa’kehró:non when organizations and businesses work together,” stated EDC Purchasing Agent, Lois Williams. “It is important that the community be aware that we do not sell or work for Pepco so if people have, or can find, a better rate they should remain with their supplier.”
New clients should register by filling out the form online at www.pepco.ca . They may also request Pepco mail one to them by calling 514-493-7000. When registering, your application will be processed and you will be contacted by an agent to confirm how you wish to setup payments. There is no deadline to apply.
For more information, please contact Pepco directly at 514-493-7000.
