Boil Water Advisory for some residents on Route 132
10/04/2011
The Public Works Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform residents on Route 132, in the area between Bully’s Truck Stop and Joe Deom & Associates, of a Boil Water Advisory.
A water main was broken by crews from a sub-contractor for Hydro Quebec while digging in the area earlier this afternoon. Public Works crews are on site effecting repairs at this time. Water service to homes in the area had to be shut off but should be returned within the next few hours.
Please note that once water service is returned, protocol is to boil water for at least 10 minutes prior to using for cooking or consuming as a cautionary measure. The system will be flushed and the water will be tested and monitored. An announcement will be made when the Advisory is lifted.
Niá:wen for your patience and we apologize for the inconvenience.
