Important notice regarding proposed amendments to Sanitary Conditions Law

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that the final day of the second 30-Day Review of proposed amendments to the Sanitary Conditions Law is Tuesday, 18 Kenténha/October at 4pm.
Comments or questions should be brought to Heather Jacobs-Whyte at the Lands Unit (450-638-8244) or Eva Johnson at the Environmental Protection Office (450-635-9554).
Additionally, community members are invited to the Second Reading of the proposed amendments, which has been scheduled for Wednesday, 2 Kentenhkó:wa/November from 6 to 8pm at the Moose Lodge. The agenda for this will be announced at a later date.
Please note that, in accordance with the Community Decision Making Process, the Sanitary Conditions Law has been determined to be a “Type 2” law (regulatory in nature) and will follow the process designated for that type of legislation.
