Volunteer Observers needed

Electoral Officer Michael Sky is officially requesting four (4) community members to take part as Volunteer Observers in the counting of ballots following the Casino Project Referendum vote on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Mr. Sky is seeking two (2) people in favor of the project and two (2) people opposed to the project to take part. Observers will be selected at the discretion of the electoral officer.
Eligible persons must meet the requirements of the Kahnawá:ke Membership Law, be listed as a member on the Kahnawá:ke Kanien’kehá:ka Registry and be at least eighteen (18) years of age as of Referendum Day.
To apply to be selected as a Volunteer Observer contact Electoral Officer Mike Sky directly at the contact information listed below. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 4pm.
Referendum Day will be Saturday, April 28, 2012 with voting to take place between the hours of 9am to 6pm at Kateri School. A special poll (advance poll) will be held one week prior on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 2pm to 4pm, also at Kateri School.
