MCK installing new roof

The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that a new tin roof will be installed on the Main Office of the MCK and is scheduled to begin Wednesday, May 16th for approximately three weeks, weather permitting.

The existing shingle roof is problematic due to the height of the building and high wind damage. Over the years, repairs to leaks and shingles have proven to be more costly than investing in tin.

During the work, the building will be accessible at all times. However, parking may be reduced at times. (See PDF for map of work zone area)

Proper signalization will be installed to warn of the work zone. Detours, if necessary, will be clearly marked to allow for alternate routes for safe passage of pedestrians.
