Update: Suspects Arrested in Connection with Illegal Firearms Ring

Six (6) of the seven (7) suspects wanted in connection with an illegal firearms trafficking ring are now in police custody.

• Herby Peter Lahache (44 years old of Kahnawą:ke)
• Jonathan Williams - Mayo (30 years old of Kahnawą:ke)
• Damian Lee Porter (25 years old of Kahnawą:ke)
• Roy Beauvais (40 years old of Kahnawą:ke)
• Lincoln Rice (52 years old of Kahnawą:ke)
• Jason Eugene Bober (28 years old of Chateauguay)

Were taken into custody, without incident during an operation at several locations in Kahnawą:ke, as well as a residence in Chateauguay.

Investigators are also executing search warrants at two Montreal area shooting ranges, to gain access to documents pertaining to firearm(s) sales, which were obtained through legal transaction(s).

Operation Flicker (Operation Lueur) involved approximately one hundred (100) officers and investigators from the Kahnawake Peacekeepers , the Joint Forces Firearms, Ammunition, and Explosives Trafficking Investigation Unit and the Aboriginal Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit.

The investigation into the firearms trafficking ring began in January of 2012.

All suspects are scheduled to be arraigned via video conference at Longueuil Court this afternoon. They face firearms and other related charges.
