Keith Myiow withdraws candidacy

The 2012 Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Elections Electoral Officer Timmy Norton would like to advise the community that Keith Myiow has officially withdrawn his candidacy for the position of Grand Chief in the upcoming elections.

�Myiow has confirmed his withdrawal with a signed letter as outlined in Section 10.1 of the Election Law,� stated Timmy Norton. �He will officially be removed from the Candidate List.�

The withdrawal of Myiow leaves two (2) candidates for Grand Chief; Barry Alfred and Mike Delisle Jr.

Please note, due to the timing of Mr. Myiow′s withdrawal, many election advertisements will contain his name as a candidate and we apologize for any confusion this may cause.
