Keith Myiow withdraws candidacy

The 2012 Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke Elections Electoral Officer Timmy Norton would like to advise the community that Keith Myiow has officially withdrawn his candidacy for the position of Grand Chief in the upcoming elections.

“Myiow has confirmed his withdrawal with a signed letter as outlined in Section 10.1 of the Election Law,” stated Timmy Norton. “He will officially be removed from the Candidate List.”

The withdrawal of Myiow leaves two (2) candidates for Grand Chief; Barry Alfred and Mike Delisle Jr.

Please note, due to the timing of Mr. Myiow′s withdrawal, many election advertisements will contain his name as a candidate and we apologize for any confusion this may cause.
