Advanced Poll successful

Electoral Officer Timmy Norton would like to inform the community that the Advanced Poll for the 2012 Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Elections took place on Saturday, June 30th from 10am to 12pm at the electoral office.

There were a total of thirty eight (38) pre-verified participants that submitted their names prior to the June 28th deadline. Thirty four (34) showed up to cast their ballot.

Immediately following the poll the locked ballot box was transported to the Peacekeeper Station, where it will remain until July 7th when it will brought to Karonhian�nhnha School to become part of the regular elections.

All eligible voters unable to cast their ballot on July 7th with valid reason were permitted to take part in the Advanced Poll. 

Elections take place this Saturday, July 7th from 9am to 6pm at the Karonhian�nhnha School.
