Micro-chipping clinic, September 8th
08/15/2012
The Animal Protection Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is pleased to announce a Micro-Chipping clinic being held on Saturday, September 8th from 9am until 1pm at the Community Protection Unit.
A veterinary technician will be on-site to perform the service, which is being provided at a cost of $40 per pet and will be by appointment only.
Each appointment will require a $20 deposit and must be paid in-person at the Animal Protection Department.
Pet owners store their contact information into the micro-chip, which is then inserted into the pet’s upper back. It is standard procedure of veterinarians and animal protection officers to check for these micro-chips.
Pets that are micro-chipped generally have a higher return rate than those that are not.
For further information or questions, please contact Deidra Whyte at the CPU by telephone at (450) 632-0635.
