Major Work on Route 207 in Kahnawake, limited access

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke and the Ministčre des Transports du Quebec wishes to inform road users that major work on Route 207 through Kahnawą:ke will begin on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, and is expected to be completed in mid-October. Due to the nature of the construction, no through-traffic will be permitted for the duration of the works that will see two (2) culverts removed and replaced.

Local traffic and deliveries to area businesses will be permitted.

Motorists trying to access the Montreal bound Mercier Bridge via Route 221 will be detoured via A730 east to 132 west. Motorists heading to St. Isidore/St. Remi from the southbound Mercier Bridge will be detoured via 132 east to A730 west.

A third culvert will also be removed and replaced, that work is scheduled to begin in mid-November and should take approximately five weeks to complete.
