MCK hires former Kanesatake Grand Chief

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) is pleased to announce that Paul Sohenrise Nicholas has joined the Office of the Council of Chiefs (OCC) as a project leader. He began work on Monday, 15 Kenténha/October.
Mr. Nicholas served as Grand Chief of Kanehsatá:ke from 2008-2011. Previously, he had held the position of Kanehsatá:ke’s Director of Economic Development. He had also served as the Branch Manager of the Bank of Montreal’s Akwesasne branch. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University.
It is expected that Mr. Nicholas will fill some of the void left by recent departures from the OCC, while providing a different perspective and approach to how projects are managed and developed.
The OCC provides support services for Chief & Council, which includes advisors, technicians and support staff.
