Safe driving this Halloween
10/31/2012
The Community Protection Unit and The Kahnawake Peacekeepers are asking drivers to practice safe, slow driving while Halloween activities occur throughout the community.
Many Halloween costumes are dark and not very visible to passerby vehicles. Drivers are asked to be cautious of roaming children, as streets will have a higher than normal volume of pedestrians for trick-or-treating.
Any street with a high concentration of pedestrians (i.e. Sesame Street) are areas of concern for drivers. In these areas, traffic should be limited and vehicles should be parked.
On behalf of the safety of our children and our community, please practice safe driving this Halloween. Let ghouls be ghouls, not injured fools.
