Chiefs attending meetings in Montreal - Ottawa

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that several chiefs are out of the office attending meetings.
Chief Lloyd Phillips is in Montreal today, along with other chiefs from the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador, to meet with Quebec Premier Pauline Marois. Chief Phillips then travels to Ottawa, where he will participate in the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) meetings from Tuesday to Thursday.
Chiefs Martin Leborgne, Bobby Patton and Billy Diabo are in Gatineau, Quebec (near Ottawa) for a meeting of the Iroquois Caucus. The Caucus is scheduled to meet tomorrow with AFN National Chief Shawn Atleo regarding a proposed protocol agreement between the Caucus and the AFN.
