Grand Chief - Marois meeting deemed positive

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform Kahnawa’kehró:non that yesterday’s meeting between Grand Chief Michael Ahríhron Delisle, Jr. and Quebec Premiere Pauline Marois, along with other members of Premiere′s staff, has been deemed very positive by the Grand Chief.
“Madame Marois is very committed to the continuation of the relationship that was started with the Parti Quebecois in the 1990’s, which culminated with the Ten Agreements,” said Chief Delisle. “That relationship also included, and will continue to include, the current files of the Seigneury of Sault St. Louis, Highway 30 lands and Kahnawà:ke’s presence in the regional economy.”
Yesterday’s was the first face-to-face meeting between Kahnawà:ke and the new Quebec government.
The meeting was held at the Premiere’s office in Quebec City.
