Free bus available for Friday’s ‘IdleNoMore’ solidarity event in Ottawa
12/19/2012
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that a bus has been secured at no charge for community members who wish to attend Friday’s ‘IdleNoMore’ solidarity rally to be held in Ottawa.
The bus will leave the Knights of Columbus parking lot at exactly 8:30am. It is strictly first come-first served, so people are asked to arrive early. Because school is still in session, only one bus is available and seating is limited.
It is anticipated that the bus will return to Kahnawà:ke at approximately 5pm.
Please note that those who plan to leave their vehicles for the day should park on the west side of the building (closest to the Nolan Mall) so normal operations of the Knights of Columbus won’t be disrupted.
For those who cannot travel to Ottawa, Idle No More events are being organized in Cabot Square in Montreal at 12 noon on Friday and at the Kanesatake Pines at 10am on Saturday.
