Iroquois Caucus to meet in Oneida Ontario

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke wishes to inform the community that Chiefs Martin Leborgne and Bobby Patton will be attending the Iroquois Caucus meetings taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 5th and 6th at the Oneida Community Center.
Agenda items include re-focusing the Iroquois Caucus; update/discussion on the Assembly of First Nations/Prime Minister/Iroquois Caucus position; Bill C-45; the Federal Matrimonial Real Interests legislation; and other issues.
Additionally, Kahente Horn-Miller, Coordinator of the Kahnawą:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission, will make a presentation on the Community Decision Making Process.
The Chiefs are expected to return to the office on Friday, February 8th.
The Iroquois Caucus consists of representatives of the elected Councils of Kahnawą:ke, Akwesasne, Kanesatake, Tyendinaga, Wahta, Six Nations at Grand River, and the Oneidas of the Thames (Ontario).
