Reminder - next Membership Law Amendments meeting tomorrow (Thursday) evening

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) wishes to remind Kahnawa�kehr�:non that the fourth Community Consultation on amendments to the Kahnaw�:ke Membership Law will take place tomorrow (Thursday) evening from 6pm to 8:30pm at the Karonhian�nhnha School Gymnasium.

The specific item to be discussed will be the criteria for Membership. Consensus was not reached on this topic at the third Consultation and the meeting will continue where it left off.

Once consensus is reached on amendments, a working group that includes community representatives will be created to begin the process for drafting the actual amendments.

Community members are urged to read the relevant documents and information, which are available at the Membership Office, located at the Social Development Unit at the Services Complex.
