Investigator named in Complaint against Chiefs Gina Deer, Martin Leborgne and Bobby Patton

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that Chief & Council have appointed Lysane Cree, Legal Counsel, to investigate a formal complaint against Chiefs Gina Deer, Martin Leborgne and Bobby Patton by a community member. Ms. Cree was officially appointed at a duly convened meeting of Chief & Council on 25, Ennisk�:wa/March 2013.

The complaint was made on 6, Enn�ska/February 2013 and is in relation to alleged Facebook activities.

As per terms of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Disciplinary Measures Regulations, Ms. Cree must present her findings and recommendations to Chief & Council within thirty (30) days of her appointment.

Ms. Cree, who is from Kanesatake, was called to the Bar in 2003 and is employed by the firm Hutchins.

The MCK will advise the community of the outcome upon completion of the process.
