MCK hears presentation from Enbridge
04/10/2013
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform Kahnawakehró:non that Chief and Council met with representatives of Enbridge, a company that specializes in pipeline transportation.
The company asked to meet with the MCK to explain its operations and plans within the region and to answer questions. Company representatives had previously met with members of the Iroquois Caucus several months ago.
Today’s meeting was a chance to meet first-hand with company officials, said Grand Chief Michael Ahríhron Delisle, Jr. “This was strictly a presentation and question-and-answer session. It was made clear to all involved that this was strictly for information purposes.”
Several community members were also present. The MCK reminds Kahnawa’kehró:non that anyone wishes to attend meetings are required to make such requests in advance for logistical purposes.
