Agenda announced for May 14th Community Meeting

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform Kahnawa�kehr�:non that the agenda has been set for the upcoming Community Meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, 14 Onerahtohk�:wa/May. The agenda is as follows:

1.    Land allotments
2.    Presentation/update from Tewatohnhi�saktha (Revenue generation; small businesses; employment training)
3.    Update: presentations at Parliamentary Standing Committees  (S-16 Tackling Contraband Tobacco and Matrimonial Real Interests Federal S-2 legislation)
4.    Open Discussion

The meeting will be held at the Golden Age Club and will begin at 7pm. Since the beginning of this year, Community Meetings have been held monthly on a six-month trial basis.  The MCK will evaluate effectiveness and make a decision whether to continue the monthly format or return to the Seasonal/Special Community meetings at a later date.
