River Road rehabilitation

The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform the community that rehabilitation work on the River Road is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 13th and be continue through October.

This project will include replacing the sanitary sewer systems and a partial replacement of the waterline, and concrete curbs. Upon completion of the works, the road will be resurfaced with new asphalt. Proper signalization will be installed to warn of the construction limits.
 
Throughout the work, residents in the area may be inconvenienced with temporary loss of water, dust and noise, detours and temporary road closures. Residents will be notified at least one day prior to having the water turned off. The community will also be notified when a road closure is scheduled.
