Filming continues for Mohawk Girls

The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to advise the community that Rezolution Pictures, working with Tracey Deer, will be filming for the TV Series ‘Mohawk Girls’ on the middle part of Tekahkwì:tha Island (west of the powwow site) on Friday, May 31st from 6:30am to 7:30pm.

Preparation of the areas used for filming will occur from Tuesday, May 28th to Thursday, May 30th, 8am to 6pm each day. Preparation will include clearing the area of any dead wood and branches, and the spreading of mulch and discs of wood. The area will not be damaged and will be returned to its original condition.

Please note that during filming there may be intermittent traffic control on the bike path.

Other dates for filming include May 30th by the CP Tunnel and June 1st at the Lacrosse Rink by K103 Radio. Details for these film dates will be released as they become available.
