Peacekeepers seeking donations of bicycles for upcoming Give-Away
05/30/2013
The Kahnawą:ke Mohawk Peacekeepers (KMPK) are currently preparing for their annual Bicycle Giveaway and are requesting donations from community members of new or used bicycles for Kahnawą:ke′s underprivileged children. The PK′s presently have 30 bikes in their possession that Officers are repairing for the giveaway but would like more. Bicycles can be dropped off at the Peacekeeper station any day between 8am and 5pm.
The Bicycle Give-Away is a KMPK initiative that promotes bicycle registration and safety and will be held this year on Friday, June 28th on the green space of the Peacekeeper station. Community members who drop by to register their bicycles will receive a free helmet and those who do not own a bicycle can get one free of charge. The bicycles given away are on a first-come-first-serve basis while supplies last.
For further information please contact Jody Diabo at the Peacekeepers at 450-632-6505.
