Gina Deer new Peacekeepers Services Board Portfolio Chief

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke announced today that Chief Gina Deer has accepted the responsibility for the Peacekeepers Services Board Portfolio, taking over from Chief Bobby Patton, who was lead on the file.
Carl Horn remains as the second chief on the file, which is not a voting position.
Chief Deer also holds the Gaming and Community Protection portfolios. She is also involved on the following portfolios: Public Security; Justice Commission; Economic Development; Tobacco; and Tiowero:tón.
Chief Patton is one of the four Community-Based Services portfolio chiefs, maintaining the Social Assistance file. He is one of the three chiefs involved in the Iroquois Caucus. Additionally, he is also active of the following files: Education; Community Protection; Justice; Tobacco; and the Kahnawà:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission.
The change was made at today’s Council Meeting and fully endorsed by Chief & Council.
